Sure, it was a slight upgrade from Seaside Height’s Beachcomber Bar and Grill (where Snooki got punched), but D.C.’s McFadden’s was a full-out fist-pumping mess when two cast members of the MTV hit reality show “Jersey Shore” paid the bar a visit.
To screams from onlookers (rocking Bumpits and blowouts) that wrapped around the street Tuesday night, DJ Pauly D and J-Woww briefly walked the red carpet and then pranced inside the packed bar, only to rush out and around the back of the building because it was so packed.
Although on the show the two seem fearless with their bar fights and fist-pumps, J-Woww and DJ Pauly D actually seemed scared of the garrulous D.C. crowd. J-Woww Tweeted, “D.C. is going bananas.”
They did return, but guests had to endure a mosh pitlike crowd, only to learn they needed a $30 VIP ticket for the opportunity to actually rub against the duo.
Even for a city as brainy as Washington, the promise an overly bronzed “guido” and “guidette” was just too much: More than 500 tickets were sold for the event in just a matter of days.
