Teenage Ted Cruz talks ‘world domination’

A video of a young Ted Cruz talking about “world domination” surfaced on the Internet this weekend. The YouTube channel “Young Ted Cruz” posted a video that it claims shows Cruz as a teenager, and he’s acting like a smart aleck.

“Aspirations. Is that like sweat on my butt?” the young Cruz asks. “Well my aspiration is to oh, I don’t know, be in a teen tit film like that guy who played Horatio. You know he was in Malibu Bikini Beach Shop. Well other than that, take over the world. World domination. You know, rule everything. Rich. Powerful. That sort of stuff.”

The video then cuts to Cruz’s campaign logo with the words, “Rich. Powerful. World Domination,” appearing underneath.

Cruz’s father, Rafael Cruz, also makes an appearance in the video. Nearing the end, a narrator asks, “Mr. Cruz, do you think Ted’s going to rule the world one day?” And Cruz’s father responds, “I hope not,” punctuated by a smile.

As the presidential candidates make the pilgrimage toward Iowa for the first-in-the-nation caucuses, the personal lives of the men and women atop the polls have faced a new level of scrutiny. Whether the young Cruz’s tongue-in-cheek remarks about his plans for the future make it into his opponents’ attack ads remains unclear, but Donald Trump has shown that he is willing to attack his opponents by any means necessary.

The Texas senator ranks first in the Washington Examiner‘s newest GOP presidential power rankings.
