3-in-5 Google users: Fiorina won early debate

More than three-in-five Google Trend users ranked Carly Fiorina the winner of the early GOP “undercard” debate Thursday night.

The former Hewlett Packard CEO received 62 percent of votes, more than triple former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s 20 percent, according to Google, a partner in the Fox News debate.

Fiorina shared her plan for defeating the Islamic State. She pledged to push legislation through Congress that would terminate 400 senior executives at the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. She also denounced climate change as the most pressing global issue.

Former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore beat out former Pennylvania Sen. Rick Santorum 9 percent to 8 percent. This debate was Gilmore’s second-ever GOP debate since he has not qualified to participate since the first one last August.
