Chapel attendance at Liberty University is expected to be huge on Monday, Jan. 18 when GOP front-runner Donald Trump stops by campus.
The Lynchburg, Va.-based Christian university announced Monday the Republican presidential candidate will speak at the first convocation of the spring semester.
“Since Donald Trump last visited Liberty, our family has stayed in close contact with him and with his top aide, Michael Cohen. We are thrilled that they are taking time out of their extremely busy schedule to return to Liberty,” said Jerry Falwell, Jr., president of the university.
The self-funded billionaire candidate last visited Liberty in 2012. His remarks were streamed online to a record worldwide audience.
Chapel will take place in its standard location, the Vines Center auditorium, which has seating capacity for more than 8,000 people, but not all of the 13,800 campus residents.
The service will be broadcast online.
