’80s TV stars descend on the Hill

The halls of the House Cannon Building were aflutter Tuesday with the news that Linda Evans and Linda Gray, stars of 1980s hits “Dynasty” and “Dallas,” respectively, were afoot. The actresses, dubbed “the Lindas” by Sen. Ron Wyden, popped by the Hill for a briefing on Meals on Wheels. Evans and Gray looked on as Reps. Rosa DeLauro and Jo Ann Emerson were honored for their work on hunger issues and each took a turn addressing the audience. Gray told Yeas & Nays that she didn’t know what to wear to her visit to the Hill, but intuition guided her to a peach pantsuit. “It was instinct,” she said.

Freshman Rep. Mike Kelly popped by the briefing to grab a photo with the Lindas. The apparent fan was seen handing the women his card and urging them to be in touch.
