Donald Trump lashed out at Jeb Bush on Twitter Monday night, criticizing the pro-Bush PAC for its new ad that portrays the former Florida governor as a “tough guy” after Bush’s comments last week condemning Trump’s blunt approach.
“Weak and low energy @JebBush, whose campaign is a disaster, is now doing ads against me where he tries to look like a tough guy,” tweeted Trump, ranked second in the Washington Examiner’s presidential power rankings.
Jeb’s big ad buy against me, paid for by lobbyists, shows my face but doesn’t have me answering Jeb’s statements. He is really pathetic!

.@JebBush‘s opening and closing in the debate were said by all to be terrible–fumbled around, incoherent.

Why doesn’t @JebBush, in his ads, show my answer to his statement in the debate?

Will @JebBush, in his phony advertising campaign, show himself asking me to apologize to his wife in the debate?

The two got into a heated discussion during last week’s GOP debate when Bush attacked Trump for his plan to halt Muslim immigration. Trump defended his national security strategy, saying the country must take a serious approach to immigration and related issues. Bush followed up by saying the self-funded billionaire could not insult his way to the presidency.
But despite criticisms of Trump’s abrasive style, the Right to Rise PAC is pushing a similar message on behalf of Bush.
The ad reads, “One candidate tough enough to take on the bully [Trump], one candidate tough enough to take on [the Islamic State]. Jeb will destroy ISIS and keep America safe.”
The PAC also has aired ads attacking presidential rival Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.
