If it’s on Wikipedia, it must be true, right?
The online encyclopedia has been experiencing a flurry of activity on the page that details Paul Revere‘s ride after Sarah Palin gave a historically inaccurate account of it over the weekend. The blog Little Green Footballs first reported the changes and the fact that Wikipedia editors were trying to edit the entry back.
Palin mistakenly said that Revere rang bells and rode through Boston alerting the British that the American revolutionaries were armed. Yeah, not so much. Revere actually rode to the revolutionaries and tipped them off that the British were headed their way. Palin later defended her account on Fox News.
