Ex-Mexican president: Trump reminds me of Hitler

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox continued a days-long tirade against Donald Trump Friday, comparing the Republican presidential front-runner to Adolf Hitler.

“He’s says he’s going to bring back America to what it was? That’s crazy,” Fox told CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Friday.

“Never before America, United States was so big, so strong, so powerful, so successful as it is today,” Fox said. “He’s going to take that nation back to the old days of conflict, war and everything. He reminds me of Hitler.”

Fox warned that as president, Trump would use executive power to do what he likes, without the consideration of Congress and the judicial branch, which would conflict with the U.S.’s status as a democracy “that should be the example for the rest of the world.”

One day earlier, Fox cursed when addressing Trump’s campaign promise that he will build a wall along the southern border, and that Mexico will pay for it.

“I’m not going to pay for that f–king wall,” Fox told Fusion’s Jorge Ramos during an interview Thursday.

“He should pay for it. He’s got the money,” Fox said of Trump, the billionaire-turned-Republican candidate.

Trump said Thursday that he was offended by Fox’s language, and said at a CNN debate that “the wall just got 10 feet higher” in response to comments by Fox and current Mexican officials who dimissed Trump’s vow to force them to pay for the barrier.
