It’s probably safe to say that Donald Trump is now acquainted to Carly Fiorina.
In the second GOP debate, Fiorina got her first chance to respond face-to-face to the GOP front-runner after his infamous comments about her “face” to Rolling Stone last week. In the interview, Trump reportedly shouted at a TV, “Look at that face!” pointing to Fiorina. “Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!”
When asked by moderator Jake Tapper to respond to his remarks, Fiorina, who is number five in the Washington Examiner‘s presidential power rankings, argued that the comment speaks for itself.
“I think women all over this country heard very clearly what Mr. Trump said,” Fiorina said to thunderous applause.
Trump’s reply was met mostly by silence in the hall.
“I think she’s got a beautiful face and I think she’s a beautiful woman,” Trump said.
