One of the nastiest Senate races in the country is a statistical tie five days before Election Day.
Former Sen. Russ Feingold leads Sen. Ron Johnson by just one point, 45-44 percent, in the latest Marquette University Law School poll released Wednesday afternoon. The Wisconsin race could help determine which party controls the U.S. Senate.
Among those who already cast ballots, the former three-term Democratic lawmaker leads incumbent Republican Johnson 58-29 percent.
The poll was conducted Oct. 26-31 and has a 3.3 percent error margin.
