‘Housewife’ Cat parties at gay bar, others shop

With all that’s been written about “Housewife” Cat Ommanney‘s sad breakup from hubby Charles, she seems to be having a good time in the city. On Friday, Ommanney made a late-night cameo appearance at the Dupont Circle gay bar Cobalt.

Ommanney slinked onto the dance club’s stage, escorted by Fox 5’s Will Thomas, and commanded attention from those crammed onto the top floor of the club. “Does anybody watch the ‘Housewives?’ ” she asked to applause. She then commanded the crowd to boo a certain infamous crashing couple.

“It’s really good to be here, the music is great and it’s really fun, thanks for having me and I love D.C.” she said. “I know I come across as a rude British brash bitch, but I actually am a real housewife, there’s no bulls–t with me, ain’t no bulls–t baby, we’re going to keep on rocking.”

Yeas & Nays asked Ommanney about her night on the town and if she was at the club to promote a particular cause. She said she wasn’t. “No cause other than [I] love the gay community and living downtown amongst such fun-loving people — who really know how to party!!” she wrote in an e-mail.

Promos for Thursday’s episode show the “D.C. Housewives” getting into a contentious debate over gay marriage with cast member Stacie Turner articulating that “marriage is between a man and a woman.” Ommanney disagrees. “I’m totally pro-gay marriage, which you will see next week,” she told us. “All for equality on every level.”

In other “Housewives” news, Yeas & Nays spotted Turner shopping at Thursday’s District Sample Sale. Cast member Mary Amons, a co-founder of the sale, and her daughter Lolly made appearances at the Georgetown event, too.
