It’s Official: Dr. Ruth talks sex, takes oath of office

Well, now that D.C.’s fixed all of its other problems, it’s time to really get serious.

She likes long, romantic walks along the C&O Canal, but says things about “S-E-X” you’d never expect to hear from a grandma.

Washington: Meet your new secretary of love and relationships, Dr. Ruth Westheimer.

“I certainly am the perfect person because I can talk about love and relationships and a little bit about sex,” the 81-year-old told Yeas & Nays.

In typical Washington fashion, the nonprofit Destination D.C. established an “agency” and appointed Westheimer head of it to help give D.C.’s hotels and restaurants a jolt during February, often a sluggish month.

“As you know, it takes a bold individual with a bold agenda to get things done in Washington,” said at-large D.C. Councilman Kwame Brown, who administered the oath of office to Westheimer on Thursday.
