For Tareq and Michaele Salahi, who soon will appear on the D.C version of “Real Housewives,” actual reality is just plain pesky.
When they appeared Thursday at the Georgetown Ritz-Carlton for Carol Joynt’s Q&A Cafe, Joynt only skimmed the surface of their legal troubles and asked them “hypothetically” how they felt about being locked up in the D.C. prison system for gatecrashing the November state dinner.
That’s when things got ugly.
“There’s a dark side to this,” Joynt started, segueing into the discussion.
“What I say to you is, there doesn’t need to be this hostility,” Michaele Salahi responded, literally doing a growling impression of Joynt.
“I love the way you do me,” Joynt “grrrrrred” right back.
Afterward, when D.C. reporters pounced on the couple, Michaele Salahi deployed a different strategy to deal with those annoying questions.
“I love your hair,” she told a camerawoman trying to snag an interview.
