The Democratic Senate candidate from Illinois is under fire after a fundraising event at a Washington, D.C., condominium building resulted in allegations of harassment, intimidation and assault. A video tracker employed by the National Republican Senatorial Committee had been forcefully asked to leave the rooftop event and the altercation was posted online. Later, a resident complained that a friend of the campaign and others showed up at her door and confronted her about allowing the tracker upstairs “using inappropriate and threatening terms.”
