Donald Trump said Friday that he would “absolutely” have a spot for Ben Carson in his administration — and Carson just returned the favor.
In an interview with Fox & Friends Saturday, Carson told host Tucker Carlson that he would find a “very good spot” for Trump in a potential Carson administration, though he was not specific about what post Trump could hold.
“I think Donald Trump has many admirable qualities and traits, and I would think that he would find a very good spot in our administration,” Carson told the host.
When pressed on what post he had in mind, Carson simply said that “would remain to been seen.”
The comments come a day after Trump told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that he would “absolutely” find a spot for Carson in his administration.
“Yes, I would, absolutely,” Trump said, though he intimated that he wasn’t sure Carson would be a good negotiator.
“I would say it’s not his wheelhouse,” Trump said. “But that I don’t know. But in certain elements of an administration, I think he would be very good.”
