Watch: Clinton laughs at audience member’s desire to ‘strangle’ Fiorina

Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton on Tuesday laughed off a comment from an audience member who said he wanted to “strangle” Republican candidate Carly Fiorina.

The audience member claimed that he’s both veteran and a former Hewlett-Packard employee, the company Fiorina oversaw as CEO.

“My division is making money. I get laid off. There’s 20,000 of us. We get laid off,” he added. “She told us it was cost-cutting. … I saw friends of mine that in over 20 years in digital, in Hewlett-Packard lose their homes. Their marriages broke up because of the stress and strain they were under.”

Clinton listened attentively as he claimed that an additional 40,000 HP employees were laid off under Fiorina’s watch.

“Every time I see her on TV, I want to reach through and strangle her,” he said, prompting laughter from the audience. “I know that doesn’t sound very nice.”

Clinton laughed.

After she composed herself, she quipped, “I wouldn’t mess with you!” The audience continued to laugh and laugh.
