Rubio’s family front and center in new ad

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio’s presidential campaign unveiled a new ad featuring the senator’s family that will begin airing in South Carolina on Tuesday.

The ad shows Rubio’s wife, Jeanette, speaking about their children, Daniella, Amanda, Anthony, and Dominick.

“It’s amazing because I see so much of Marco in all of my kids,” Jeanette says in the ad. “Daniella’s passion. Amanda is very deep — loves to read books. And Anthony is the same way. And Dominick is very charismatic. I see so much of them in Marco. We are very blessed. Family is a gift. God has given us such a gift. I can not be more thankful.”

Rubio’s wife has rarely made media appearances on behalf of Rubio, and has publicly expressed her reluctance at becoming involved in politics. The senator’s family joined him in the run up to the New Hampshire primary and has remained with him in South Carolina. As the senator looks to turn things around after his underwhelming performance in New Hampshire, Rubio has made more public appearances with his family.

Rubio ranks third in the Washington Examiner‘s newest GOP presidential power rankings.
