GQ says no ‘liberal-media bias’ in GOP-heavy ‘craziest’ politicians list

GQ’s January edition features a list of “America’s 20 craziest politicians,” featuring three Democrats and 17 — count ’em — Republicans.

Of the disproportion, an author’s note at the bottom of the list says, “the reality is that Democrats just aren’t keeping pace right now in the crazy department.”

The list is mostly a collection of odd things U.S. representatives and senators have said, sometimes devoid of context, as when Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., said last year a tax on tanning beds is racist (the audio recording with that remark indicates he was making a joke, as the audience laughed).

The entry for Vice President Joe Biden, who is on the list, simply says, “JUST HOW CRAZY? Crazy enough to run again for president!”

GQ did not, however, add Rep. Jim Moran, D-Va., to the list. “I think the American people should know that the members of Congress are underpaid,” he said in earnest in April.
