Secret Service: Agents injured after another car crossed lanes

The Secret Service says four of its agents were injured Tuesday night in New Hampshire after another car crossed a double yellow line and slammed into the car carrying the agents. Two others were injured as well.

The driver of the other car, identified as Bruce Danforth, 45, died in the accident.

“At this time, our personnel have sustained what is described as serious, but non life threatening injuries,” Secret Service Director Joe Clancy said.

“At approximately 7 p.m., four Secret Service Special Agents, while on official duty in New Hampshire, were involved in a serious motor vehicle accident. They were struck by another vehicle that had crossed the double yellow lines,” Clancy said.
