Mark Levin: ‘No persuasive, principled argument’ for conservatives to support Clinton

Conservative radio host Mark Levin, once vehemently against Donald Trump, is now supporting the Republican nominee and blasting any self-proclaimed conservative who says they’re voting for Hillary Clinton.

During an Q&A on the website Reddit, one user asked Levin to comment on Sen. Ted Cruz’s speech at the Republican National Convention, in which he did not endorse Trump and told GOP voters to “vote your conscience.”

“I agree with Ted Cruz; that is, each of us has to make our own decisions based on what our conscience tells us,” said Levin. “Most people are doing that. However, what I cannot accept is those who claim to be conservative announce they are voting for Clinton. I can think of no persuasive, principled argument to support such a decision.”

He said he has “many concerns” about Trump, but that Clinton “is simply unacceptable in every respect, she would unquestionably do severe damage to this nation, and the only realistic way to stop her is to vote for Trump.”

Though Trump received the most votes in the primary, his candidacy continues to divide the GOP and prominent conservatives, many of whom say he is unfit for office and that they will go so far as to vote for Clinton to stop him.
