Web site tries to rush Limbaugh to Costa Rica

Rush Limbaugh is not a big fan of the Democrats’ health care reform package. In fact, the talk show host said if it passed, he would hightail it out of the United States and head to Costa Rica.

And now, because it has passed, two guys from Brooklyn — who are without health insurance — decided to take him at his word.

Introducing ATicketForRush.com, a Web site quickly created by roommates Mike Rugnetta and Patrick Davison on Sunday night, which allows users to make $1 donations toward Limbaugh’s trip to Costa Rica.

If Limbaugh refuses the gesture, Rugnetta and Davison said they will give the proceeds to an organization.

“We knew it would be funnier if the charity was something that Rush would never donate to, or would be mad about donating to, so we picked Planned Parenthood,” Davison told Yeas & Nays, explaining that the funds would go to the Planned Parenthood Action Center, the political arm of the abortion-rights organization.

By Monday evening, $836 was raised as of press time. The goal is to raise between $750 and $1,000.
