North Korean official attacks Trump’s nuclear views

A North Korean official has attacked Donald Trump’s call for Japan and South Korea to develop nuclear weapons, in what may be one of largest compliments paid so far to Trump’s foriegn policy views.

In an interview with CNN, Ri Jong Ryul, deputy-director general of the Institute of International Studies in Pyongyang, said it would be a double standard if the U.S. supports the arming of North Korea’s neighbors while at the same time telling North Korea to end its nuclear program.

“Donald Trump’s remarks are totally absurd and illogical,” he said.

Ri also argued North Korea is not really interested in the American election because U.S. officials have always held a hostile policy against the hermit nation.

North Korea has yet to issue an official statement in regards to Trump’s remarks.
