Grover, the friendly, blue monster from Sesame Street, tried but failed in a new video to explain the Electoral College, and at one point mistakenly referred to it as the “electric college.”
Grover got bailed out by Salman Khan, founder of the non-profit educational organization the Khan academy, which partnered with Sesame Street to explain the U.S. political system.
The video was a joint project between the nonprofit group and Sesame workshop and is not intended to endorse or promote any candidate.
“This is a fun way to dip our toe in the water and we really just want people to get out and vote,” Sesame Workshop’s Chief Operating Officer Steve Youngwood told the Wall Street Journal.
