Trump booed by conservative crowd for blasting ‘clown’ Rubio

Donald Trump’s continued to swing at Marco Rubio Friday, but conservative activists swung back.

During the beginning of his address to the Values Voter Summit Friday morning, Trump drew loud boos from a crowd of conservative activists after he went out of his way to call Marco Rubio a “clown.”

“You have this clown, Marco Rubio,” Trump said to the crowd, who responded with a downpour of boos.

Trump seemingly got the hint that the crowd likes the Florida senator and flipped to hitting him on immigration, a tough issue for Rubio after his ill-fated support of the Gang of Eight bill.

The two have been hitting each other for much of the past few days, with Trump lobbing tweets in his opponents direction after Rubio hit Trump on foreign policy during an interview on “Special Report” Tuesday evening.

Trump also took shots at Rubio’s voting attendance record, which has taken a noticeable hit since he announced his run for the White House earlier in the year.
