Former President George W. Bush requested that his memoir “Decision Points” not hit the bookshelves until after the midterm elections, the Financial Times reported. But Crown Publishers denies it, saying the decision was not Bush’s, but its own.
“From a media perspective the period leading up to the midterm elections is a very noisy and crowded space and we believe the president’s book will be better served by being launched following that time,” the publisher said. In April, Crown Publishers announced that the former president’s book would be released Nov. 9, exactly one week after the midterm elections.
