Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., will be headlining the 18th Annual Funniest Celebrity in Washington contest at the DC Improv on Nov. 30, Politico reported, performing alongside other media and political personalities including Rep. Rick Larsen, ABC News’s John Hendren, The Daily Caller’s Mary Katharine Ham, Chicago Tribune’s Clarence Page and Fox News’s Jamie Weinstein. This year’s judges will include tax reformist Grover Norquist, chef Geoff Tracy and Yeas & Nay’s very ownNikki Schwab.
There’s no word yet on what Brown’s comedy routine will look or sound like, but he’ll be in eclectic company nonetheless (previous winners have included Barney Frank, Austan Goolsbee and Mike Huckabee). Last year’s winner was Jon Lovett, who worked as a speechwriter for President Obama before heading to California to pursue a career in television writing. Tickets for this year’s show cost $200 each, and you can reserve a table for four for $2,500 — or a table for four plus a celebrity for $5,000. All proceeds from this year’s competition will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
