Almost 50 percent of adults say Fox should cancel Bill O’Reilly’s show: poll

Almost 50 percent of adults say Fox News should cancel Bill O’Reilly’s nightly program, according to a new poll.

The survey was conducted by Morning Consult between April 13-15. The poll’s results come as the star anchor is engulfed in controversy after reports that he and Fox have settled sexual harassment lawsuits for millions of dollars with several women who complained of abuse.

Asked if Fox should keep or cancel O’Reilly’s show “The O’Reilly Factor,” 46 percent of U.S. adults said it should be canceled.

On the other hand, 22 percent said the show should be kept and another 32 percent said they had no opinion.

The Wall Street Journal, which falls under the same corporate umbrella ownership as Fox, reported Tuesday night that Fox is “preparing to cut ties” with O’Reilly.
