Acting legend dreams of playing Teddy Roosevelt

Legendary Shakespearean actor Stacy Keach entertained a full house at the Shakespeare Theatre Company Monday night. Keach’s onstage interview with the theater’s artistic director, Michael Kahn, revealed a few gems, like the actor’s “warm-up” before a show (“We’d join hands and we’d yell, ‘one, two, three, f— ’em!’ “) and that he’s dying to play Teddy Roosevelt. He also talked about playing Richard Nixon in D.C.’s “Frost/Nixon.”

“Being here, being right next door to the Watergate, was a wonderful experience,” Keach said. “It was so much fun to play him. Wonderful character.”
