GOP candidates: You’re not trustworthy enough, Hillary

The seven Republican presidential candidates appearing at the first debate Thursday were asked for two words to describe Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.

The words were not kind.

Even before they were invited to criticize Clinton, she was hit by Lindsey Graham, who stated that she is deceptive. He went on to say that was was “fluent in Clinton speak” and that he knows “Clinton doesn’t represent the change we need.” Carly Fiorina also said Clinton lied about Benghazi and her emails well as her continued defense of Planned Parenthood.

In 2008, Barack Obama referred to Hillary Clinton as “likeable enough,” so the moderators in the 5 p.m. Fox debate asked the GOP contenders’ for their version.

George Pataki: “Divisive and with no vision. No vision at all.”

Carly Fiorina: “Not trustworthy. No accomplishment.”

Rick Santorum: “Secretive and untrustworthy.”

Rick Perry: “Good at email.”

Bobby Jindal: “Socialist and government dependent.”

Lindsey Graham: “Not the change we need at the time we need it.”

Jim Gilmore: “Professional politician that can’t be trusted.”

Most candidates went beyond two words, but their responses could all be summed up as “politically untrustworthy.”
