Iowa Republican Senate candidate Joni Ernst leads her Democratic opponent Bruce Braley by one percentage point, according to a new poll.
A Des Moines Register/Bloomberg poll shows Ernst leading Braley 47 to 46 percent.
Braley has gained six points since a poll was conducted two weeks ago, compared to a gain of three points for Ernst, as undecided voters make up their minds.
The poll was conducted of 1,000 Iowa residents who are likely voters in the 2014 general election. The margin of error was plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
Ernst leads Braley by less than a percentage point in the RealClearPolitics polling average.
