Donald Trump has now targeted Jeb Bush in one of his famous Instagram ads Wednesday, showing all the times the former Florida governor complimented his 2016 rival during a recent interview.
During a recent Sunday sit-down with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, Bush said on a few occasions that Trump is a “gifted politician,” a quote the Republican front-runner seized upon in the new ad, which starts out reading “Jeb can’t stop raving about Trump.”
“He’s succeeding right now for sure. He’s a gifted politician,” Bush said as the ad starting counting how many times he made the remark.
“But he’s a gifted politician,” Bush said in the ad, before it cuts to him telling the host, “he’s just a gifted politician that is appealing to people’s anger and frustration that is quite legitimate.”
The 15-second-long ad finishes with the ad saying that Bush “is finally starting to make sense for the first time!”
The ad on the heels of Bush’s criticism of Trump’s plan to bar Muslims from entering the United States, which the former Florida governor called “not serious,” adding that Trump is “unhinged.”
