It was made pretty clear to us back in June that Arnold Schwarzenegger was a nerd. During the summer, he visited Washington for a screening of the film “Gerrymandering” and eagerly talked about the issue and his involvement with Proposition 11 in California, a 2008 ballot initiative that created a citizens commission to handle the redistricting of the state’s legislative districts.
Now his nerdiness is on even greater display. The October issue of GQ features an article cleverly titled, “Ahnuld Sez Gerrymandering is for Girly Men,” which looks at his tenure in office and his disdain for gerrymandering.
“[In] all that time, he’s managed to keep one thing largely secret: The guy is a wonk,” writes GQ’s Washington Correspondent Ana Marie Cox.
Her story also touches on the similarities between politics and bodybuilding and what the Governator isn’t planning on doing in the future.
“I have no plans yet,” he tells Cox. “Something that doesn’t involve a chance of losing.”
