The Kalorama home of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy has been for sale privately for months, but as of a week ago, the listing has been made public.
Kennedy’s widow, Vicki, asked his longtime friend from law school at the University of Virginia, Tim Hanan, and his wife, Jean, to sell the mansion situated on Tracy Place.
As an independent contractor for Sotheby’s International Reality, Hanan listed the six-bedroom, six-bathroom home for close to $8 million.
“It’s been the site of many many diplomatic receptions, birthday parties and family gatherings,” Hanan said. “It’s a great house for both entertaining and family functions.”
