Happy hours in this town apparently never get old. Veteran journalist Helen Thomas was spotted sipping beverages (no word on whether they were of the alcoholic variety) at an American University alumni happy hour Friday.
Our spy reports that the 89-year-old journo was sitting at a reserved table with several others at Kushi, a newish sushi spot in Mount Vernon Square, designed by AU alumna Ari Kushimoto.
And while Thursday night’s The Young and The Guest List party hosted by Washington Life was obviously filled with young prominent Washingtonians, Yeas & Nays spotted Los Angeles-based publisher Andrew Breitbart in the crowd there as well. He attended both the main event at the Washington Club and the afterparty at the Darlington House in Dupont Circle.
A sampling of others in attendance: R&B singer (and local) Ginuwine, White House chef Sam Kass, “Blonde Charity Mafia” star Katherine Kennedy, former “Top Chef” contestant and Good Stuff Eatery owner Spike Mendelsohn and former “Bachelor” star Andy Baldwin.
