We hear that openly gay GOP presidential candidate Fred Karger’s CPAC party was the place to be Friday night. Karger, whose longshot candidacy was basically ignored at the conference, holed up in a suite at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, where the conference was being held, and invited CPAC attendees, reporters and friends from the local gay community to join him at an open bar. (You may recall that GOProud was not invited to participate formally in CPAC this year either). Our spies reported that the event got “quite rowdy,” and hotel security eventually shut it down.
