Sen. Bill Nelson on Wednesday predicted a “double digit” Florida primary loss for his junior colleague, Marco Rubio.
“It’s obvious,” the senior Florida senator said on MSNBC. “Trump will win Florida by double digits.”
“The results of last night for Marco being so low, I think the ground has shifted from underneath him, and it’s shifting primarily to Trump and some to Cruz, but I think Trump will clearly take the Republican primary next Tuesday,” Nelson continued.
Nelson cited “not only the polling that you have, but Trump’s been there a lot.”
Trump keeps a second home in Palm Beach, Florida. Florida’s presidential primary is March 15.
