Marco Rubio to decide on 2016 within weeks

Marco Rubio will make a huge decision in the coming weeks.

On a Colombian radio show Thursday, the Republican senator from Florida said he will soon decide whether to run for president or re-election in 2016, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

“For me, the decision is made based on the following: I have my agenda that I have talked about for more than four years and the decision that I have to make is where is the best place to advance this agenda as a presidential candidate or continue at the majority in the Senate, that is a decision I will make in the coming weeks along with my family because it requires a whole series of things,” he said during an interview in the midst of his two-day trip in Colombia.

Florida is home to the largest Colombian population in the United States. Rubio is there to meet with government officials, business leaders and civil society organizations, his office said.

Rubio is polling seventh among 11 likely GOP candidates for the White House in 2016, four points behind leader Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, according to a RealClearPolitics average of polls.
