Democrat Mary Hynes’ fundraising leads the four other candidates vying for two open Arlington County Board seats in November.
Hynes raised $9,120 in June, according to campaign finance reports filed this week.

The contributions brought her war chest to $16,111, with $13,072 on hand.
Contributions to Hynes, a former school board member, include $200 from Sally Baird, a current school board member, $150 from the U.S. House of Representatives’ chief clerk and $100 from an Arlington County librarian.
Hynes, who is running for the seat County Board Chairman Paul Ferguson is vacating to run for county clerk, easily surpassed the other candidates in terms of her fundraising.
Vice Chairman Walter Tejada, a Democrat running for re-election, raised $1,895, and has $5,935 on hand.
The leading Republican money-raiser is Mike McMenamin, who took in $3,180 in June, bringing his total to $7,305. He has $4,845 remaining.
The other Republican, Joe Warren, has $795 in the bank.
He received no contributions and spent only $30, splitting a booth at a blues festival with McMenamin.
Green candidate Josh Ruebner also raised no money, and he has $161 in the bank.
He spent just $35.75 on copies and file folders.
Sheriff Beth Arthur, a Democrat, has the most cash on hand of all county candidates.
She raised $185 in June but entered the month with $19,856 in the bank.
She spent $1,570, all donations to local political action committees and the young Democrats.
Republican sheriff candidate Steven Strasburg did not file a campaign finance report and faces a $100 fine, Deputy Registrar Donna Patterson told The Examiner.
Ferguson did not receive any contributions in his clerk campaign account in June, leaving the balance at $3,500.
The figure was outpaced by Republican Mark Kelly, who raised $2,575 in June and has $8,355 on hand.
However, Ferguson’s political-action committee, Ferguson Victory Fund, reported $11,578 in the bank. It also received no donations in June.
