‘Real World D.C.’ roommate selling panda clothing line

Andrew Woods was probably the most memorable of the hardly remarkable cast of “The Real World: D.C.,” mostly because he wore panda hats and plastic flip-shade sunglasses. Now he’s hoping his signature style will bring in a buck.

Woods is touting “Party Panda Clothing” on his Facebook fan page, a Web site that sells T-shirts he designed — along with those plastic flip-shade sunglasses. The T-shirts, one of which is sold out and one which is coming soon, depict a Rocky Mountain elk and a gorilla and say “party panda” on them. He’s also threatening to make “the most sweetest shirt of all time,” according to a video posted to his YouTube channel, which would involve putting a panda, a giraffe and a wolf on a T-shirt.

Woods, a cartoonist who got canned by his college newspaper for being too provocative, interned briefly for the Washington Times while living in the District. He did not respond to a request for an interview.

No word on whether D.C.’s own Mei Xiang and Tian Tian served as inspiration.
