16: The number of points that Texas Gov. Rick Perry has dipped in Florida over the last week, according to a new poll of likely Republican voters in the state which puts Perry in fourth place with nine percent support. Meanwhile, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has gotten a small bump of 3.2 percent. This comes a week after Perry suffered a 10-point slide in the polls after his poor debate performance in Florida. And Romney seems to be trying to take advantage of this, releasing ads attacking Perry’s proposals for Social Security reform, which one ad said could land Florida with a $16 billion budget deficit and force cuts to other state programs – a message which seems to be resonating with voters in the state.
