Prince Andrew, Duke of York, was in town Thursday for the Navy Memorial’s Centennial of Naval Aviation wreath laying on the plaza outside the U.S. Navy Memorial. Prince Andrew presented a wreath in honor of Naval Aviation’s 100th anniversary at the statue of the Lone Sailor. The plaque on the wreath read: “In recognition of the sacrifices made by the UK and U.S. Naval Aviators over the last 100 years,” and was signed “Andrew.”
