Did a Massachusetts crowd boo President Obama?

During a campaign stop in Mitt Romney’s home state Monday night, Obama teased the crowd about Boston Red Sox standout Kevin Youkilis being traded to the president’s home team, the Chicago White Sox. The crowd, reports said, booed. Not so, said White House spox Jay Carney. “The preponderance of people” shouting “were saying ‘Yooook’ and not ‘boo’ for God’s sake,” Carney said.

Will Metro ever extend into Loudoun County?

The Loudoun County board must decide by July 3 whether to pay hundreds of millions of dollars for two Metro stations along the proposed Silver Line. Only if the board agrees will Metro extend into the county for the first time. If the board declines to participate, Metro’s Silver Line would end at Washington Dulles International Airport. Loudoun’s withdrawal would set back Dulles Metro’s 2014 opening by up to 18 months.

Was Kwame Brown sentenced to 6 months or 30 years?

The former D.C. Council chairman pleaded guilty to bank fraud, a charge that could net him 30 years in prison. But in exchange for Brown’s plea, prosecutors agreed to seek a sentence of no more than six months. The judge could ignore that recommendation, but Brown also benefits from sentencing guidelines that reward cooperation and a previously clean criminal record.

Will Hillary Clinton run for president in 2016?

She’s the top pick among Democratic voters, pollsters found. Party leaders, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, keep mentioning her as a contender. Her husband, former President Bill Clinton, hints she might run. But Hillary Clinton, who lost the Democratic nomination to Barack Obama in 2008 and is now his secretary of state, is very direct about her future plans. “No politics,” she said.
