HBO kicked off the Television Critics Association Tour session on Wednesday by announcing they’ll pick up “Real Time with Bill Maher” for a 10th season, a decision that Maher raved about during the event while he praised the network. Maher — who is known for his liberal political commentary — said he loved being on a network that he actually watches. “I’ve been at other networks where i didn’t watch their s–t. I never watched Dharma & Greg,” he said, going on to praise his employers for the freedom they give him on the air. “I don’t understand why other nets don’t steal HBO’s formula. Hire people you like and trust and let them do their thing.”
