A little friendly internal competition can be good for business, right?
That may have been what famed chef Jose Andres was thinking when he pitted two of his D.C. restaurants against each other in a battle for the title of “Your Favorite Restaurant” in this year’s Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington Awards, or the RAMMYs.
Managers from Andres’ restaurants Cafe Atlantico and Jaleo both distributed mass e-mails to patrons asking them to vote for their best loved restaurant. For Andres, either vote is a win-win.
Voting for the RAMMYs ends Wednesday at midnight.
