The most memorable Ron Paul vehicle from the Republican congressman’s 2008 presidential campaign was definitely the Ron Paul blimp, but his biggest fans may remember a Ron Paul limousine as well.
The 55-foot Lincoln limo was painted with stars, stripes and slogans including “Ron Paul Revolution” and “Downsize DC.” After the campaign, the limo was heavily damaged by an electrical fire. Now, that vehicle is getting a makeover.
Car designer Jay Ohrberg, known as “Hollywood Jay,” is turning the former Ron Paul limo into the world’s longest, according to the North County Times, a San Diego publication. Ohrberg’s the same guy who designed the Batmobile for the movie “Batman Returns” and the flying DeLorean for the “Back to the Future” series. He will stretch the Ron Paul limo to 105 feet, breaking his own Guinness World Record for world’s longest car.
