S.C. Dem: Clinton only candidate I ‘trust to fight injustice’

Rep. Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., told voters that Hillary Clinton is the only candidate he can “trust to fight injustice” in a new ad that will air in the Palmetto State during the final days leading up to the Saturday primary.

“I think that if one were to look at the qualifications of the candidates and really reflect upon what our country can be, and look at who can best get us to the place — I think it’s hands down Hillary Clinton.,” Clyburn says in the ad, “Hands Down.”

Clyburn publicly endorsed Clinton last Friday, but the prominent South Carolina lawmaker has already made multiple appearances on the campaign trail to bolster her support in the six days since. Clyburn helps the former secretary of state rally the African-American community, a major source of her support.

“Hillary is the only candidate I trust to fight the injustice too many feel and build on the president’s progress, not rip it away. My heart has always been with Hillary Clinton,” Clyburn added.

With the South Carolina primary just two days away, Clinton currently leads Sanders by over 20 points in averages of recent polls.
