Bernie Sanders says he’ll announce his presidential decision in March

A decision to run for president by Bernie Sanders is imminent.

The Vermont Senator will decide by March whether to run for president in 2016 — and whether he’ll be part of the Democratic ticket or pursuing election as an Independent.

Sanders says he’ll be running with more than the intention of advancing the conversation.

“I don’t want to do it unless I can do it well,” he told the Associated Press. “I don’t want to do it unless we can win this thing.”

His campaign would be based around his self-declared socialist views, focusing on how the rich has too much and the poor has not enough. Sanders also elaborated on his 12-step plan that he believes will restore the economy and the middle class.

In the end, Sanders said he will make a “gut decision” about running for president.

Should he decide to run, he will have stiff competition. With four points, he is currently polling fourth among the potential 2016 Democratic presidential nominee field. His main challenger, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, polls at 61.5 percentage points, according to a RealClearPolitics average of polls.
