As Texas Gov. Rick Perry mulls over a presidential run, one very special Twitter handle is again tweeting at full throttle. The anonymous Twitterfeed “RickPerryFacts” has come back to life, claiming to be the Republican governor’s “unofficial biographer.”
Just like the popular online meme “Chuck Norris Facts,” the “Rick Perry Facts'” author makes superhuman claims about the Texan. “Rick Perry has a grizzly bear carpet in his office. The bear isn’t dead, it’s just terrified of moving.” Also “Rick Perry invented waffles. Just another of his special little gifts to the world.” And “Rick Perry is the life of parties he has never attended.”
The author, who didn’t respond to a request for comment (though did send us an additional Rick Perry Fact), had tweeted from fall 2009 through 2010, then dropped off the radar. In June, as Perry became a hot political topic, the Rick Perry Fact machine was up and running again.
