It looks as though Tareq and Michaele Salahi may have gotten the kind of TV fame they hoped to achieve with Bravo’s “Real Housewives”: Washington’s crashing couple were satirized in the opening sketch of this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live.”
While Fred Armisen (as President Obama) drones on in a speech about the economy, the “Salahis” (cast members Kristen Wiig and Bobby Moynihan) creep in behind the president and begin taking pictures with him.
“Michaele” is wearing her red sari and “Tareq” has on a bow tie. The Secret Service doesn’t kick them out, instead joining the Salahis and Vice President Biden (played by Jason Sudeikis) in the photo fest.
At the end of the sketch, Michaele even asks Obama to stop with the economy talk and take her picture.
