Matt Drudge, founder and editor of the influential Drudge Report, is once again hitting Republican leadership in Congress for what he believes is an apparent attempt to thwart President Trump’s agenda.
Drudge on Wednesday went after Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan.
“Paul Ryan strategy is waiting for [Vice President] Pence to get sworn in as president…,” he wrote on Twitter, attaching an image of Ryan looking somewhat maniacal.
Drudge was widely viewed as a champion of Trump during the campaign and since the election, he has jabbed at the GOP in Congress for so-far failing to pass much of the legislation Trump promised.
In March, Drudge wrote on Twitter that Republicans “lied about wanting tax cuts.”
And in January he accused the GOP-led Congress of “hanging The Donald out to dry. Making him do everything alone! Despicable. No tax cuts, no Obamacare repeal. NOTHING.”
